I’m here to help you through that and to achieve the photoshoot of your dreams. I’ve been there myself. We live in a society that constantly tells us that we aren’t good enough in some shape or form, that we need to change ourselves to fit these increasingly unrealistic expectations. I’m here to tell you that you are more good enough exactly the way you are. And I am incredibly honored that you are considering trusting me to capture you in your empowerment era. I can not wait to help show you just how amazing you truly are. To help you recognize the beautiful art that you are. The boudoir experience is truly, deeply healing. Planning outfits
One of the most common questions asked is, “What in the world do I wear?” Oh honey. You can wear it all or nothing at all! You’re going to look amazing in whatever it is you choose. But, if you’re still worried or unsure, I’m right here to help and ease your worries.
My best advice is to ALWAYS over pack. ALWAYS. Showcasing your personality is just another part of our shoot. While we might not get through every outfit, it’s nice to have options. No matter what you bring, make sure it’s things you love that make YOU feel confident and downright the ART that you are! Wear what FEELS good to YOU.
PROFESSIONAL HAIR AND MAKEUP
We’re here to celebrate and embrace all of your beauty. This is our chance to pamper you and for you to fully immerse yourself in your special day. Getting in the chair also helps dissipate those lingering nerves, while the makeup helps the camera find that gorgeous lighting we’re looking to capture on your face. Makeup is usually done by myself or one of my trusted and insanely creative makeup artists.
For those of you who prefer to go all natural, have no fear, the pampering doesn’t begin or end at makeup. This day is truly about celebrating YOU.
Client closet
I know sometimes finding outfits can be quite a stressor for some clients. We started our client closet to help ease some of that stress. We have a growing selection of lingerie including luxury brands like Honey Birdette and vintage brands. While our selection is still limited (we are working towards building a more inclusive client closet this year), it is a great option to supplement the outfits you bring. Or even if you just see something in there you like!
posing
This is the one that usually makes a lot of people sweat. You don’t need to be a model here, but you’ll definitely feel like one when you leave. I’m right there to show you every little which way to pose right down to your fingers and toes. How to ease your face, breathe deeper and sink into yourself comfortably. I study poses daily to bring ease to your shoot. If there’s something you’re dying to try, don’t be afraid to ask. And don’t worry, I’ll even run through the poses with you.
